Ana Javier (1987) is a Dominican illustrator, visual artist, and filmmaker from San José, Costa Rica. She received a visual arts degree from The Escuela Nacional de Artes Visuales in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. In addition, she finished her studies at Veritas University's “School of Film and TV”.
Her practice as a digital illustrator varies from mixed digital illustration to painting, helping her cover a diverse range of creative areas such as advertising, print, and editorial.
Ana's work consists of a combination of strong and vibrant colors with a rough ink trace. She draws her inspiration from the Caribbean women and their diverse experiences, from daily life, aspirations, and identity.
Her artwork has been featured in numerous international publications. Ana keeps working towards speaking up about the representation of Caribbean women, empowerment, lifestyle, and wellness.
